OPEN DAY HIGHLIGHTS

Mabuhay! (Welcome)
El Pinoy Care Services is a family-owned entity to provide care services to the disabled and aged members of our society.
Disability Care
The disability care side of our business under NDIS is growing and we could take the view that as a business, we could simply focus on the growth of our NDIS business, but in doing that, we are doing ourselves a disservice, given the actual skills and experience, particularly the sensitivity that me and my husband Mariano have acquired over the years from taking care of my dearly departed disabled aged father who has inspired me to continue with my passion in this field.
We are fortunate to have a registered NDIS Provider status that will give us more credibility in this field, but we should bear in mind that the registered status on its own will not be sufficient to grow our business and help more people. I believe that it is the high quality of the services we provide that is a better guarantee for the continuity of our business and our registered NDIS Provider status.
The expansion of the disability services side of our business will also give us more experience in this area, which we can apply to caring for our aged consumers. Personally, I feel it’s not uncommon for someone advancing in age to somewhat be affected by some form of disability such as for example mobility, emotional (melancholy), cognitive. Our actual experience in providing services to disabled participants will put us in good stead in operating the aged services side of our business.
Aged Care
EL PINOY provides Home Care services to aged consumers. Presently, we have a very small number of aged care consumers, all of whom are self-managed. This is primarily due to their preference for plan managed arrangement, which to them is a one-stop/all-in-one arrangement and one that is free from administrative burden that a self-managed arrangement is saddled with.
As I often say, taking care of the disabled and aged is not just a job that anyone can do in exchange for good money, but in my view, it is a calling or vocation that comes from one’s heart. After all, the road is not easy but if your heart is in the right place, just the thought that you are making a positive difference to someone’s life is very heart warming.
On this note, we make a difference in improving the lives of the disabled and aged individuals who we service so that they can continue to live happily, safely, in the manner they wish to do so in their homes and in our communities, with dignity and respect.

Funding explained
In providing care subsidies, The Federal Government divides the world of care by age, namely whether you are under 65 or over 65 years of age.
Under 65 years
You need to contact the National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) to establish if you are eligible to receive government-subsidised disability support under the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS).
Over 65 years
You need to contact My Aged Care to establish if you are eligible to receive government-subsidised aged care support.
